Sleeve gastrectomy surgery in Turkey with medicalfly – Testimonial by Sebastian

Sebastian, 35 years old from Germany, opted for a sleeve gastrectomy in Turkey. His starting weight was 183 kilograms.

Sebastian begins by mentioning that he had decided on the sleeve gastrectomy while still in Germany. According to Sebastian, other weight loss attempts had been impossible as he had been experiencing severe back pain for the past one and a half years, mostly as a consequence of being overweight. “I had no other choice left and I had to decide to undergo the surgery and cover the costs myself,” says Sebastian.

„I came across medicalfly entirely through the internet“
Sebastian explains that he came across medicalfly after an extensive search on the internet. “I read many reviews and by far, I was most satisfied with those from medicalfly.” Following this, he initiated the first contact. This occurred on a Sunday and progressed rather swiftly. “A date was arranged very quickly, and everything was discussed.” Sebastian then started his diet. With the help of a Turkish nutritionist, he lost 10 kilograms in 2 weeks, which was sufficient for his surgery. As a high-risk patient, Sebastian was advised to stay in the hospital for an additional 2 days, something he describes as “an extra 2 days of vacation since I feel perfect.”

„Every minute in the hospital, they take care of you.“
Sebastian mentions feeling well taken care of. He notes that someone is always available to assist with questions or other concerns, such as language comprehension issues. “If there isn’t a German-speaking staff member available, English is always an option,” Sebastian adds. “Anything you need is delivered directly to your room.” Sebastian expresses satisfaction as his companion, also his wife, was allowed to fly along for free and also received meals, which were covered by medicalfly, contributing to his overall contentment.

„The specialist dotors have done very good work.“

Sebastian mentions that the operation lasted about 3 hours and was conducted by specialist doctors. He notes that after 2 days, he was already in a nearly pain-free condition. “I was able to move around much more, and theoretically, we could have flown home already.” Nonetheless, Sebastian is looking forward to the additional 2 days, which, accompanied by good weather, will ensure a comfortable stay.

“If there was something else to be done, I would come back here anytime. For anyone considering surgery, you’re in good hands here,” are Sebastian’s closing words.
